Back in early August ‘23, John sent me “a rose” on the dating app Hinge. I was not very active on the app and I am grateful to have had over 50 profiles to review. But John did his research on this… He pays for roses on the app to boost his profile to the top of a stack. I engaged with him and we spent about 9 days talking over the phone because I was out of state. Upon returning we had built, what seemed like, a connection and met out for dinner at Bourbon & Bones (he later complained about the bill).
After several dates I felt comfortable being intimate with him. Strangely enough he refused to remove his underwear even though his groin looked strangled by the tight briefs. I poked fun at him afterwards hoping he would offer an explanation. Nothing honest, just that he didn’t feel comfortable being fully naked. Hmmm… Also to note he did not keep the area manicured and trimmed.
A couple weeks later I got on his case and demanded to understand why he refused to be fully nude and he said he is embarrassed by “skin tags” forming around his genital regions. I wanted clarification about his choice of words and asked if he meant WARTS. He started to cry and blame his parents for homeschooling him which lead to a promiscuous college life and somewhere along the way he contracted HPV and warts manifested. I would like to stop here for a moment and remind everyone that I had already told him about my fight with Cancer due to HPV. He attempted to assure me that he was no longer contagious since to his knowledge he didn’t give recent partners warts…

My Nightmare Continued…
I wanted to stop where I did to explain something… If genital warts are still cropping up, that is a 100% indication that the individual is still in fact CONTAGIOUS. Was John aware of this fact? Yes. Something to know about John Economides is that he considers himself to be a bank of “useless knowledge,” otherwise explained as he enjoys doing research and fact checking. One could still say I cannot be sure that this 42 year old who has had this STD for two (2) decades knows nothing about it. But I reached out to a previous partner who dated him for years before discovering the warts herself under a big bush of pubic hair. Alarmed she forced him to go to a specialist.
According to the man himself he has never sought out medical due to the shame he has around his aggressive outbreak. I made him an appointment with The Anal & Genitals Warts Center in Mesa on October 24th to be more informed, obtain a biopsy to find out what strain of HPV he contracted and remove the warts. We broke up shortly after I made that appointment because despite the obvious he was consistently shady and lied almost compulsively. I reached out to him a day prior to his appointment to remind him and plead with him to share biopsy strain results so I can share it with my oncologist. My heart sunk when he ignored my text… This guy is a sociopath and an abuser. I still reached out to my oncologist to run tests on me independently and pray that the strain he has is covered by the Gardasil vaccines I got as a teenager. I also felt a strong duty to exercise my First Amendment rights and inform others about John’s condition since he won’t.
